Behavior Reduction Programming

-Addresses challenging behaviors based on what is considered socially acceptable in terms of school, family, and community settings

-Develops individualized behavior reductions plans if a student’s behavior interferes with his/her social and academic growth, poses harm to self or others, or is socially stigmatizing

-Follows best practice procedures, including:

  • The use of positive approaches as the first method for reducing challenging behavior

  • Teaching functional alternative behaviors

-Employs highly detailed data collection and monitoring procedures
