Ivymount depends on the generosity of the local business and foundation community to sustain its current program while exploring opportunities for program growth and expansion.

Thanks to the Lennar Corporation and private donors, Ivymount has installed a Woodworking Shop, outfitted with power drills and sanders, workbenches, and hand tools. The shop allows students to learn specific vocational skills that can translate to simple assembly or manufacturing jobs in the community. The Woodworking Shop enables students to learn how to complete a task through verbal or written directions; to be a member of a project team; to follow safety procedures; and ultimately, to gain specific skills necessary in this industry.

We are pleased to announce that Lennar Corporation has selected Ivymount as their "Focus Act of Caring". Throughout the school year, Lennar associates will be partnering with Ivymount students and staff to provide much-needed job training opportunities as well as volunteer services for the school.
