Christina Brodrick is the Director of Organization Management at Ivymount.  In her 10+ years in the special education field, Christina has worked in both school and in-home settings providing ABA therapy and educational programming for individuals with special needs. Christina began working at the Ivymount School Autism Program in June of 2008, where she played an instrumental role in developing and managing their employee training program. Additionally, her focus on staff morale and support led her to both chair the Personnel Committee and serve two year-long terms as the staff representative to Ivymount’s Board of Directors. Christina graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Neurobiology and Physiology, an M.S. in Health Care Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration.  She is also a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst.

Amanda Custer
 is the Director of Staff Services for Ivymount.  Amanda is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has worked with individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities in home, school, and community settings since 1997.  After receiving her Master’s degree in Special Education and Human Services Management from Western Maryland College, Amanda joined Ivymount School as a Head Teacher in the Autism Program.  Professionally advancing within the Autism Program, she also served as Curriculum Coordinator, Primary Division Director, and Assistant Program Director.  Amanda also provided specialized services to students across all Ivymount School programs for three years as the Assistive Technology Specialist.

Laura Duvelius joined Ivymount in June 2017 as the Chief Development Officer and has supported Ivymount leadership and the Development team in increasing the organization’s annual revenue and diversifying the funding portfolio. Laura has an accomplished record both in serving youth and expanding funding support through strategic revenue development. Previously she served as the Director of Development for Adoptions Together, where she grew revenue substantially, streamlined processes and built the Development team from the ground up. Prior to that position, Laura led the Easter Seals Greater Washington Baltimore Development team through the final stages of a capital campaign to complete the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center in Silver Spring, MD. Her 25 years of experience, primarily focused on raising visibility and program support for children and families, makes her an ideal match for Ivymount School and Programs. Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts at Michigan State University and her Master of Social Work at Wayne State University.

Dr. Eve Müller
is responsible for coordinating in-house research projects and documenting curricular outcomes for Ivymount. She is also one of the authors of the Conversation Club curriculum, and the IvySCIP. She completed her doctoral work at the University of California at Berkeley, and her background is in autism research and special education policy.  Eve’s work has been published in a number of peer reviewed journals, including the Journal of Autism and Development Disorders; Autism: The International Journal of Research and Practice; Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disorders; The Journal of Vocational Rehabilitation; and Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools.  She has also presented at national and regional conferences. Prior to beginning work at Ivymount, she worked as a Senior Policy Analyst at the National Association of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE) where she published more than 70 articles relating to special education policy, and helped coordinate policy forums and webinars on critical issues in the field.  Several of her Ivymount program evaluation reports are available here.

Lee-Nadine Oppenheim
is the Director of Finance & Operations at Ivymount.  Lee oversees the accounting and finance functions as well as technology needs for all Ivymount corporations and supervises facilities and construction for the school. In her many years at Ivymount, Lee has overseen capital projects, including renovations to the school in excess of $9 million.  Lee also oversees emergency preparedness training for all of the Ivymount corporations and is the Incident Commander for emergency situations. Prior to her work at Ivymount, Lee was the Business Administrator at Hebrew Day Institute, Vice President at Beacon Seminars and Publishing Company and Foreclosure Research of America and worked for Freddie Mac.  She is a graduate of Boston University with a BA/BS in Marketing, Finance and Computer Science and is certified in School Emergency Preparedness.

Kristen Stricks is the Director of Integrated Services with the Ivymount School.  Kristen is dually certified and licensed as both a speech language pathologist and a behavior analyst.   For the past 12 years, she has worked with children and young adults with developmental delays and disorders, apraxia of speech, and learning disabilities, and she specializes in the assessment and treatment of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.  Kristen has worked at Ivymount School since 2008 as both a speech therapist in the Multiple Learning Needs (MLN) Program and as the Speech Language and Research Coordinator for the Autism Programs.  While working as the Speech Language and Research Coordinator, she developed the speech and language training series for all Autism Program staff members, created a transdisciplinary articulation treatment program for students with articulation disorders, and supervised all research activities, including staff members’ presentations at professional conferences and collaboration with researchers at nearby universities.  In her current role as a Resource and Training Coordinator for Ivymount School, she focuses on evidence-based practices and collaboration among disciplines.  In this capacity, she supports all staff members’ use of evidence-based decision making, integration of education research into their practice, and collaboration among disciplines by developing resources and trainings. Kristen has presented at local and national professional conferences in the areas of speech pathology and applied behavior analysis.
